Make sure your clients have a signature card on file so they can access their funds

Want to streamline your client’s my529 experience? Have them add a signature card to their my529 account. Providing a signature card is an important step in safeguarding your clients’ financial accounts. Without a signature card on file, there will be a delay in processing transactional forms.

Keep in mind, if your firm traditionally opens accounts via DocuSign, a signature card is still required.

You can check the account to see if your client has a signature card on file. The “current date summary report” shows if an account was opened online as well as their signature card status. You can also call my529’s Operations Department at (801) 418-2551 to confirm signature card status. Clients who do not have a signature card on file must fill out and submit Form 110.

If you have any questions, or need assistance with this process, please reach out to our dedicated my529 Professional Services Team by calling 888.529.1886. Please also check out our FAQ.
