New ways to use your my529 funds for K-12 expenses

Parents, rejoice: You now have the flexibility to use my529 funds for your student’s education costs beyond just tuition at public, private or religious elementary or secondary school. Funds can also go toward curriculum, books, fees for certain tests, and tutoring or dual enrollment (subject to certain requirements). Even better, the annual limit for all K-12 expenses just increased from $10,000 to $20,000 as of January 1, 2026. Learn more at my529.org.
