New Dimensional underlying funds

Do you have clients invested in a my529 Customized option?

If you do, you should know that my529 has added two new single-fund fixed-income portfolios with underlying Dimensional investments, effective March 25, 2026.

As part of a continuous evaluation of the plan’s fund lineup, my529 decided to expand the intermediate duration fund offerings with two new portfolios that provide diversification and additional choice— without duplicating existing options. And your clients can benefit from access to these additional portfolio building blocks.

Advisors can use the two new portfolios in the creation of a Customized Age-Based or Customized Static investment option. If you would like to add these portfolios to a client’s existing allocation, you can make an option change on the client accounts with level 2 access or higher. This change will count as one of the two option changes allowed per calendar year.

Using the funds within the Customized space

Create a my529 Customized template that complements the other investments at your firm. Advisors can build a model using my529 portfolios with Dimensional, Vanguard and PIMCO underlying funds, save the model as a template and apply to multiple client accounts. This allows you to create a well-rounded, comprehensive investment portfolio that aligns with your firm’s investment strategy.

Additional information about the program managers can be found in the resource tab in FA Suite. See below.
