Fees and Expenses
my529 fees are some of the lowest in the 529 industry.
my529’s asset-based fee structure has two parts
- The Underlying Operating Expense Ratios of the underlying investments
- The Administrative Asset Fee
Operating Expense Ratios
Vanguard and Dimensional:
Vanguard and Dimensional charge an Operating Expense Ratio for each underlying fund.
Depending on which investment option you select for your account, the Operating Expense Ratios range from:
|Age-Based Investment Options||0.015 percent to 0.048 percent
($0.15 to $0.48 per $1,000 invested)
|Static Investment Options||0.000 percent to 0.040 percent
($0.00 to $0.40 per $1,000 invested)
|Customized Investment Options||0.000 percent to 0.375 percent
($0.00 to $3.75 per $1,000 invested)
(Operating Expense Ratio fees do not appear on your quarterly statements because Vanguard and Dimensional deduct them. The performance and market values of an account containing Vanguard or Dimensional underlying funds include the deduction of any underlying fund expense ratios.)
There is no underlying expense ratio assessed on FDIC-insured accounts.
Administrative Asset Fee

|Age-Based Investment Options||0.130 percent
($1.30 per $1,000 invested)
|Static Investment Options||0.100 percent to 0.130 percent
($1 to $1.30 per $1,000 invested)
