Make Your Mark with my529

Back to school means it’s time to make your mark. Grab a pencil, brush or stylus and apply your creative talents toward a chance at a $2,000 scholarship.

We invite you to join my529 in celebrating College Savings Month by participating in our annual scholarship opportunity for Utah students.

Students can design an original bookmark for the 2024 my529 Make Your Mark contest for a chance at one of eight $2,000 my529 college savings scholarship accounts from my529 and the Utah System of Higher Education. my529 is Utah’s official 529 educational savings plan.

Students who are in kindergarten through 12th grade at a Utah school or home-schooled in Utah are eligible to participate. Find the entry form and official contest rules at my529.org. Only one entry per student is allowed. Parents/guardians are not required to own a my529 account. There is no purchase necessary to enter. Scholarship accounts can be used at any eligible educational institution — including universities, colleges, trade and technical colleges in the United States or abroad — that is qualified to participate in federal student aid programs. The contest runs September 1 through September 30, 2024. Eight total winners will be selected, with two winners chosen within each of four grade categories (K-3, 4-6, 7-8, 9-12).

The contest is not open to past winners or children of people employed or affiliated with the Utah Board of Higher Education, Utah Education Savings Board of Trustees, my529, Utah System of Higher Education or their advertising agencies.
