Static Options: Public Treasurers’ Investment Fund

The Public Treasurers’ Investment Fund static investment option was closed to new investors on May 10, 2019.

Account owners already invested in the investment option on this date will still be able to make transactions, including contributions, withdrawals, and an option change, within their account(s) until July 11, 2019.

On July 11, 2019, my529 will retire the Public Treasurers’ Investment Fund investment option. All funds invested in the option will be moved to the FDIC-Insured investment option.

How it works

Static investment options remain in the stated allocations for the life of the account unless you request an option change, which can only occur twice per calendar year.

This static investment option is allocated to the Public Treasurers’ Investment Fund managed by the Utah state treasurer.

Securities in the fund include short-term corporate notes, money market mutual funds, commercial paper, certificates of deposit, and obligations of the U.S. Treasury and certain agencies of the U.S. government.
